Laylat al-Qadr 2027: Dates & Odd Nights

Islam does not give us a single guaranteed Gregorian date for Laylat al-Qadr. The authentic guidance is to seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan, especially the odd nights. The dates below map those nights to the calculated Ramadan 1448 AH calendar used across The Dunya Files.

Important

Do not reduce Laylat al-Qadr to one fixed date.

The 27th night is one of the odd nights, but the prophetic instruction is broader: seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the final ten. Because Ramadan itself can begin on a different local date, the Gregorian evenings below are planning references rather than a universal announcement.

Laylat al-Qadr 2027 odd nights

Islamic nights begin at sunset. The table therefore shows the Gregorian evening on which each commonly listed odd-numbered Ramadan night begins, followed by the daytime date it leads into.

Why the page lists several nights instead of only the 27th

Sahih al-Bukhari records from Aisha that the Prophet Muhammad instructed Muslims to seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan. Sahih Muslim also records the instruction to seek it in the last ten nights.

That is why this page does not label March 5, March 6 or any other Gregorian date as "the confirmed Night of Power." A date calculator can map the Ramadan nights, but it cannot reveal which night Laylat al-Qadr will be.

What date is the 27th night in 2027?

In the Umm al-Qura calculation used on this site, 27 Ramadan 1448 AH falls on Saturday, March 6, 2027. Because the Islamic night begins at sunset, the 27th night begins after sunset on Friday, March 5 and continues until dawn on Saturday. It remains one candidate among the odd nights rather than a guaranteed identification of Laylat al-Qadr.

Why the dates can shift by a day

These Gregorian mappings depend on the calculated first day of Ramadan. The Dunya Files currently maps 1 Ramadan 1448 AH to Monday, February 8, 2027 using the Umm al-Qura calendar.

A community that begins Ramadan on a different day will naturally reach its 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th and 29th nights on different Gregorian evenings. Use your local Ramadan announcement when the month approaches.

Laylat al-Qadr 2027 FAQ

When is Laylat al-Qadr in 2027?

Laylat al-Qadr is not given a single fixed Gregorian date in the authentic hadith. It is sought in the last ten nights of Ramadan, with special emphasis on the odd nights. In the calculated Ramadan 1448 AH calendar used here, the commonly listed odd nights begin after sunset on February 27, March 1, March 3, March 5 and March 7, 2027.

Is Laylat al-Qadr definitely the 27th night?

No single night should be presented as certain. Sahih al-Bukhari records the instruction to seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan. The 27th night is one of those nights, not a guaranteed date.

When is the 27th night of Ramadan 2027?

On the Umm al-Qura calculation used by The Dunya Files, 27 Ramadan 1448 AH falls on Saturday, March 6, 2027, so its night begins after sunset on Friday, March 5.

Why can the Gregorian Laylat al-Qadr dates differ by location?

The start of Ramadan can differ according to the moon-sighting authority or calendar policy followed locally. If Ramadan begins on a different Gregorian day, the corresponding odd-night dates shift as well.

Sources and methodology

Religious claims on this page are kept to explicit Qur'anic text and authentic hadith references. Gregorian date mappings use the same Umm al-Qura calculation as the rest of the site and remain planning references subject to local Ramadan confirmation.
