Why can Eid al-Adha dates differ?
Islamic months follow the lunar calendar. Different countries, mosques or religious authorities can use different criteria for confirming the start of Dhu al-Hijjah. As a result, an observed date can differ from a calculated calendar by a day.
The countdown and dates on this page are therefore designed for advance planning. When Dhu al-Hijjah approaches, use the official announcement or trusted authority you normally follow for your own observance.
What about Eid prayer times?
Eid prayer times are local and are set by mosques or organisers. This page intentionally does not generate a universal prayer time. Check your local mosque or trusted community source as the date approaches.
